I'm so embarrassed.

It's been so long. I'm ashamed. Ashamed to call myself a blogger.

I'm not worthy. Not worthy at all.

In other news, I went on vacation to "The OC" (never call it that or I'll punch you in the face).

We drove there on Saturday. We had a bit of a set back because our fridge of some 20 odd years passed that morning. It was emotional, but good to know that it is in a better place. The backyard.

I sang and talked for 7 and a half hours straight. Sometimes both at the same time. I'm not sure if my family has recovered, but I'm doing great! So no worries there.

On Sunday I got to see my very best friend Maria, which was ahh-mazing. She came back and stayed at my grandma's till Wednesday.

Okay, this is boring.

The reason of my post.

I've discovered a new breed of men.

Although, the name has been around for awhile. . . I found them, they're real.

Mermen.

Yeah.

For reals.

So I first saw them on Tuesday. We were at the beach, and I was in the ocean with Maria having a great time, and trying desperately to not have a wardrobe malfunction. I've decided that the ocean is like a large swimming pool that is salty, dirty, and would like to drown and disrobe you. Very similar indeed.

As we are standing there, we see out in the distance these 5 men, all the same size, all the same hair.

Weird right?

Mermen.

Criteria for Mermen
1. Always shirtless (always, even when not near water)
2. Board shorts (usually plaid)
3. Short-ish hair (think Ambercombie model)
4. Nasty giant pecks (think Ambercombie model)
5. Light must glisten off of their bodies at all times (don't be confused, this is water, not sweat)
6. Always in packs of at least three (think Tusken Raiders. . .wait, that was two)

Now, the last one can be broken if it is an ancient merman. In this case they can travel alone. Usually running, along the beach, causing all girls to think to themselves, "Oh, I need to find a man who will age like that".

Beware of impostors.

Some will have a little beer belly, not a merman.

Some will appear drunk, not a merman.

Some will be just shirtless, not a merman, they are just drunk.

It was a great discovery if I do say so.

Stay classy mermen.

Oh yeah.

Me and Jason's mom are friends now.

I'm making her and Jackie (his sister) t-shirts.

Well then.

I was going to post about "Menstrials", but then I got a phone call that kind of irked me

Menstrials is a very special term known only to those who are awesome.

I'll have to tell about it later.

Back to the phone call though. . .all I can say is, hallelujah I'm single.

Best day ever!. . . tomorrow.

Okay.

Okay.

Tomorrow.

Er, today if you are an annoying person that says that if it is past midnight.

I am going to go see Jason Castro in concert.

I'm freaking out.

Freaking out.

Hence the fact that I'm not asleep right now.

Oh my goodness.

Quote of the week.

Yeah.

Quote of the week.

I know, you didn't know it was happening.

I'm just so freaking excited about this.

Anyway.

Hands down.

Quote of the week.

"You're hot girls. Just kidding" -Mel (To Maria and I)

The only thing that can make life better right now is Christmas.

Ahah. . .hahaha. . hahahahaha. . .

The most hilarious thing happened today.

Hilarious.

HILARIOUS! (I accidentally typed bilarious just then, how embarrassing)

I just HAD to go to the mall today because my dad had this little impromptu interview, and needed fab clothing.

It was fab indeed.

This trip was totally okay because I needed to go to Hot Topic and by nose cleaner. Like, for my piercing. Nasty thing, keeps getting. .. nasty.

So as I was making my way quickly to the store of death, there were these two guys behind me.

Ghetto of course.

Do any other kind of people shop at the Sun Valley Mall?

No.

So they are probably 10 feet behind me, and one of them attempts to whistle.

Attempts.

You know, the good ol' whistle that men do that they think is flattering but actually it makes you feel like a hooker?

Yeah, that one.

So this guys whistle totally fails, and he is like. . .

ugh, it didn't work, I can't whistle.

Then the other one tried.

No go.

So they keep trying over and over again, and I'm walking/dying.

Then finally one of them uses a word that I don't believe should be used by women or infront of women.

and says, hey you're hot.

It was very funny.

Not funny enough though.

Remind me to never shop at the mall again.

"Amazon, dot com, I don't mean to flaunt it but it's just the thing you wanted, and it only took two minutes!"

That is going to be my new home.

Quote of the day: "No one said anything funny" -me.

And I should not be blogging because I have nothing to say

So today I had my first post-break up asking out. . .

It was awkward.

It was a text.

And it was awkward.

I said no.

Awkward.

Anyway, Mel said THE darndest things today.

My favorite I think was, "Have I ever had a wedgie?"

Yes, I did teach her what a wedgie was today.

I used graphic language I would not dream about using on the world wide web.

So Britt, if she starts saying something along the lines of buttcrack any time soon. . .

Don't shoot the messenger.

Monday, June 9, 2008

Oh my gosh!

Sorry that was kinda depressing.

I just felt like it needed a blog.

On a lighter side, today my dad said "The other is called Rainy Day Mushroom Pillow."

Amazing.

1,632 days. Wouldn't have traded them for the world.

You can skyrocket away from me
and never come back till you find another galaxy
far from here with more room to fly
just leave me your stardust to remember you by.
But you can set sail to the west if you want to
and past the horizon till I can't even see you
far from here where the beaches are wide
just leave me your wake to remember you by.

LOOK! A person!

Once upon on a time, I went to vote.

Okay, so I was talking to my good friend Rachel on the phone this evening, and as the clock struck 20 till eight my dad comes up to me and is like. . . Emily go vote.

So I did.

Although my gas tank is below empty, I still drove there. Even though it's like a 5 minute walk.

"Welcome to America, we're going to make you fat!"

I parked in the principal's parking space. I was homeschooled, and it didn't look like a driveway. Hence, not the principal's parking space.

I had to walk through all these hoodlums because I live in Oakland part 2.

I passed by some faculty members and they were like "I want to see action, I want to see people arrested."

Ah.... ahah...hahaha?

I stepped into the voting room.

"LOOK! A person!"

That's exactly what they said. I thought they were going to crap their pants.

So the very excited tiny old Asian woman, was like, "Okay, come to my table. Your name! Emily! Okay perfect, sign here!"

She said everything like I was food and she was a starving child from Africa. . . or China. . .

Then the very fat man smiled at me. His name was Leo or something. . .

It's because i'm republican. It's true.

So I made my way to the booth, pulled out my sample ballot that I brought with me to remember who I wanted to vote for.

BAM!

What? Oh my! Is that Jason Castro's name? Is that Jason Castro's name three times?

Yes, I voted Jason for United States Representative, State Senator, and member of the Assembly.

I felt that it was my patriotic duty.

I mean, can those people who vote for Mickey Mouse maybe come up with something more original. Maybe someone who is not fictional AND animated.

Let's think people.

I walked back to the little scary machine that pretty much will suck out your soul if you get too close.

It wouldn't go in.

I think that somewhere our Forefathers were smiling at me.
Actually they probably hate me. That's why it wouldn't go in.

Sorry George.

Then the scary Asian lady had to come help me, and some white lady that smiled too much.

They totally saw who I voted for, hoisted me on their shoulders and crowned me queen of voting!

Not really.

They totally gave me a dirty look, then they remembered that I was only the 70th person to vote that day, and I was back in their good graces.

My dad was the first person to vote this morning.

What is our nation coming to?

It's okay though, no one else would have voted for Jason anyway.

Then the smily white lady handed me a "I voted" sticker.

I politely asked if I could also have a spanish "I voted" sticker.

Reason 1. I think they are hilarious.

I don't need a reason 2.

Then the lady said, "Do you want a whole sheet?"

I smiled sheepishly and whispered, "yes."

"Do you want two whole sheets?"

I said, "If you want to give them to me."

Then someone from the other table (probably an angry Democrat) said, "I'm watching you."

Apparently you only get one sticker.

I made a quick get away before they made me give them back.

Voting is awesome.

Uhm, my theme song

Sugar and Spice
I never want to marry or to die
I just want to build a kite and fly it in the sky
I only live in castles made of sand
I don't care for many things untouched by human hand

These are the dreams of little girls
who don't want to grow up
sugar and spice, all things nice
so they say we're made of
is that true
is that true

I'll put on my pretty face, tuck away my blues
all dressed up nowhere to go
someone stole my shoes

These are the dreams of different times
they're not mine they're made up

I wont act like a lady as I'm told
I will have adventures
I'll be scarred and bold
Will I be a sailor off to foreign lands
will I fly an airplane cross the desert sands

These are the dreams of little girls
who don't want to grow up
sugar and spice all things nice
so they say we're made of
is that true
is that true.

Ummmm. . . . I love the Ditty Bops.

. . . . .. . . ... ..

I had the most horrible of horrible dreams last night.

We got a fake Christmas tree, and we decided not to open it till Christmas, and then we did and we didn't like it.

We had no Christmas tree for Christmas.

It was horrible.

Not only that, but contemplating a fake one? No no no. . . not okay.

Okay, enough about Christmas.

It's the most wonderful time of the year

Since we are on this theme of sicknesses I really think that it is time for me to blog about Christmas.

*sigh*

I miss it.

I probably think about how I want it to be Thanksgiving/Christmas time every other day.

Not even exaggerating (I spelled that right on my first try!)

For instance, just a second ago I was on the toilet reading an out-dated Time magazine, and there was a picture of Christmas shoppers.

My heart actually hurt. Not just like, aw I love Christmas. . . no, like, oh man, I am so depressed that it is not Christmas.

Not only that, but every time a month goes by and it is the 1st I get so excited because I know I am just that much closer to Christmas.

I hate the summer for the fact that it is lacking a Christmas.

I haven't decided yet if it is a bad thing that I love Christmas so much.

I wish whoo-ville was real, and I could live in it.

I mean seriously, a town where they get ready for Christmas all year. Sign me up.

Stupid Cindy-loo. Not excited about Christmas. She didn't know how good she had it.

My favorite movie is It's A Wonderful Life. That and Muppet Christmas Carol (Hello? Uncle?), and White Christmas (Mr. Bones feels crackalin, haha, that's a good one) and any claymation made for TV movie (He's Mr. Green Christmas, he's Mr Sun). All my favorite. . . well, It's A Wonderful Life comes first (Mr. Martini, how bout some wine!)

Oh my goodness.

I love it all.

I mean, when is there another time that you can eat candy and cookies for a month straight? And give really fun gifts, and listen to special music, and put a tree in your house?

It's just amazing! The most amazing thing ever invented.

Ughhh

Most common side effect:

Deep cleaning my room.

What the heck?

I have a sickness.

It's called not doing homework when finals are in a week.

The side affects of this disease are as follows:

1. Eating.
-I'm not talking about meals. . I'm talking about half a tray of rice krispy treats.           You can click on this and it will get bigger

2. Listening to music that I have not listened to since Jr. High.
-yes Blink 182, this means you.

3. Taking ridiculously long showers.
-30min give or take.

4. Watching gymnastics on TV.
-Just kidding, nothing would drive me to do that.

5. Blog

I'm going to fail all my classes apparently.

. . .Oooo, maybe I'll go text someone I don't actually want to talk to but it will give me another reason to avoid studying.

Heck yes.

Some mighty fine teeth

I'm getting a sparkly rainbow retainer.

If you're not jealous, you're not human.

Because you all have been worrying about me, I'm doing better with the Jason Castro's elimination.

I have seen many exit interviews and he seems very happy.

Right now I'm just devising my plan of how I can get him and his girlfriend to break up.

Not really any great ideas that don't involve someone dying yet.

I'm sure something will come to me.

I want to quite my job. Maybe I will. Not today though.

I have to go get ready to make some money.

I still hate American Idol. Too bad I wont stop watching it.

I'm going to post pictures of Jason still so you can see how pretty he is.

Wednesday, May 7, 2008

Oh dear.

I really don't want Jason to leave tonight.

I hate American idol.

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Hm, way to go green there sailor

So, it's been awhile. Shut up.

Today at school I was standing outside of the library waiting for my next class to start. I don't like sitting in class for 10 minutes waiting for it to start. Then it's awkward, you never know what your supposed to be doing, or saying. My thought process usually goes something like, "should I be commenting on my neighbors hair changing from blonde to black since last class? She smells though. Oh my goodness, crack, she smells like crack." That's when I decide not to say anything because my upbringing tells me so.

Anyway, I was standing there and this girls walks by talking on her cell phone and she is like, "you can't do that. It is so not eco-friendly. I really can't believe you would do that. You are jeopardizing the eco system. I am really not okay with you right now."

Dead serious, that is what she said.

The thing that is actually enjoyable about the fact that I heard this conversation is that she wasn't just kinda kidding around. Like sometimes I make fun of Al Gore. Or a lot.

I know she wasn't kidding because of her Birkenstocks and her home made book bag.

It's a give away.

Ben Stein was in my bulletin at church a few weeks ago. It was very unsettling.

I know he is trying to "expel" evolution. . but really? I school boy uniform?

Case in point.

I would appreciate it if in the future I would not have to look at an old man in seductive outfit while I'm singing in church.

It was almost as distracting as the time that they didn't catch the swear word typo under the single's lunch announcment.

Just kidding.

That never happened.

It would be funny though.

Down with my messy room.

Jason Castro. Vote for him. I'm sure no one wants to die tomorrow night. Do us a favor, and vote for him, sucka.

I do believe that he is beautiful. And yes, beautiful is the right word.

Incase you need to know...

http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Diaper-Candy-Holder-Favor

I saw this online today, and I though, amazing! I mean, this is exactly what I would want to get as a favor.

A mini diaper filled with chocolate.

Oh wait, aren't diapers used to cover babies bottoms so they don't use the floor as a toilet?

Oh yeah.

Sign me up.

My apologizes if you or a loved one has ever given out a chocolate filled mini diaper.

That was a mistake.

Just call me model, Emily model.

So I am too tired to write anything worth reading

. . .(not that you should stop reading now or anything)

Today was Easter, and I love Easter.

I love Easter food. It's the best. ( I hope you imagined me saying that like Nacho Libre, because I did)

This random hair dresser asked me to model for her the other day. I hope she calls me because it sounds like fun.

So really the point of this post was to be able to have a quote of the day.

Quote of the day: "I can play Wii for hours and not get sore" -Stephen.

Those ten words seriously made my week. No joke.

I'm about to throw up from too much sugar, and mistakenly eaten ham fat.

Time to go to bed and NOT burn off any of the food I ate past seven o'clock

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Her name was Magill, and she called herself Lill, but everyone knew her as Nancy.

So if I could have taken a little longer to post again, that would have been really great.

I feel like I haven't really talked about The Beatles enough.

I shall now take the time to do that. Don't you even dare roll your eyes and close the browser. This is very important.

I love The Beatles. I mean, love. Like, love love, not just eh, they are okay.

L-O-V-E.

Now, I don't really know when this love started. I can't really remember. I think it was when Beatles 1 was released in 2000. I was eleven.

I used to only like their early stuff, and the new stuff really creeped me out.

Now I love all of it.

I am a pretty big Beatles snob too, like if your favorite song is Yellow Submarine, or you can't distinguish their voices in different songs, or you don't know that George Harrison's favorite food was hamburgers and his favorite color was purple...don't even pretend that you're a fan. Seriously.

My personal favorite song is Here Comes The Sun. The whole thing just makes me so happy.

I love all of their songs though.

The only ones I ever skip are the weird Hare Krishna songs. You really have to be in the right mood for those.

I also am a fan of most Beatles covers. MOST.

Across the Universe (the movie) was just amazing. Amazing.

The only famous person that I really need to meet is Paul McCartney. He is my favorite Beatle.

Seriously though, the person responsible for making it possible for me to meet him will be my best friend for the rest of my life.

If you're a man I might even marry you.

Creepy fact. I'm painting a really huge picture of Paul McCartney from the Sgt. Pepper album.

I call the painting: "I kick ass"

I'm sorry if that word offends you. That's the name.

Well, I'm off to help with good Rocky's revival.

P.S. that picture of The Beatles is my favorite ever. I'm going to have it blown up in my house someday.

Gosh I'm tired

So Maddy personally holds me responsible for Danny Noriega being voted off tonight.

Apparently I was supposed to be voting for him last night instead of Jason Castro.

Psh, like that was going to happen.

We talked about Jewish immigration in my history class. The guy that sits the seat over from me asked if I was Jewish. *sigh* Everyday? Does it have to happen everyday? Imagine if I WAS Jewish, that would get older faster

I'm going to Berkeley tomorrow with my wonderful friend Annie.

I can't wait.

I think I might get a ring for my nose. I'm excited.

Nothing really interesting happened today.

Quote of the day:"I'm going to play a little Wii!" "I want to go to the diarrhea store. They have lots of toys and clothes." -courtesy of Mel (I think by diarrhea store she meant Walmart, just a hunch.)

Jason Castro

Everyone watch this.

I'm glad Paula was so entertaining last night.

Two words. fabulous.

Starbucks has it in for me.

So, you know how Starbucks has those wonderful cups with the quotes?

I don't usually read them, I kinda forget about them.

Well, actually I really don't have Starbucks that much. I hate coffee.

Anyway, has anyone ever gotten the cup with the quote. . .

"There is a special place in hell for women who don't help other women."?

I have.

Twice.

Creep much?

Hallelujah!

Oh goodness. American Idol, how much do I love that show you ask? A lot. More than almost any other show.

Jason Castro is where it is at my friends. I want to have his hair please.

I also really want a tattoo. Badly.

Some random guy walked by me at school, and said, "hey, I see you around school all the time, and I love your hair."

I wasn't sure if he was gay, or hitting on me. Sometimes it's hard to tell with compliments like that. He had a gay hat on though, and he was coming out of the Art Department.

I love the Art building. It's probably my best friend at school. I go there when I feel overwhelmed by the smoking hoodlums in the quad.

Last night...wow...last night I laughed harder then maybe ever in my life. I actually could not breath. Like, really. I thought I was going to die.

My mom was like crying, and Maddy had her huge mouth laugh going on. Then dad, well, I think he was eating cereal. I would try and explain why we were laughing so hard, but it really wouldn't be funny in writing. Oops.

For about 20 minutes last night, maybe more, I played a very mini harmonica, and a wooden instrument from India, or someplace like that. I was amazing.

The harmonica was made in occupied Japan.

It was in my dad's "memory box". He had crazy stuff in there, like Disneyland tickets, back when you got in the park for free, and had the letter tickets. Pictures he drew from when he was like three. Insane.

Last night was when I realized where I get my compulsion to keep anything and everything that has a memory attached to it. When I'm old it might be fun. Or it might just make me feel old...oh.

I have dibs on inheriting the occupied Japan harmonica.

Quote of the day: "I'm not a muffin man. I'm more of a bagel person. Not really with cream cheese though, I'm more of a jam person. Boysenberry is the shit."

Been awhile.

So I've been pretty much asleep since last Wednesday night.

Today someone else thought I was Jewish.

Something that I was wanting to write about the other day, is the alarming number of people wearing hats at the gym.

It was on Saturday, and I was doing my normal Saturday gym thing. As I looked around I noticed all these idiots wearing baseball hats. You know, the kind that are sometimes worn backwards or sideways. The bill is always flat, and you can usually find a price tag on it somewhere.

Really?

At the gym?

I don't understand.

Sometimes these stupid people will wear baggy basketball shorts. Try running on the treadmill in some of those.

Hobviously they want to look cool while working out. Not really going so well for them.

Oh Antioch, you are my first love.

Quote of the day: "I don't understand why people call it working out...working out what? And how come no one ever works in?
(This wasn't actually from today. But I thought it was fitting)

Everyone should watch Dexter on CBS. Seriously.

Ugghhhh

I'm so freaking tired. Why? Why must I procrastinate?

I despise my life right now.

If I ever have to write an essay ever again I might cause harm to something. I don't know what.

Maybe a small animal.

Quote of the day: "Oh, I think I will probably be done by one or so. I'm a fast writer."

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to do yoga

So today was all in all a good day. Much more interesting than yesterday. I think I jinxed it.

School was great because I didn't have my last two classes, so instead of getting out at 6:30 I got out at 1:45. Oh yeah.

I procrastinated with my time off.

So word to the wise, don't eat dinner and go straight to Yoga class. Not so pleasant. Yoga was so crowded tonight, insane. I walked into a room of terrified looking people. Pretty awesome.

My teacher, he is great.

He has an issue with anger.

Yoga helps him with this.

Sometimes you can see his veins begin to bulge. It's kinda scary. I mean, he suppresses his anger, and thankfully I don't think I have ever been the root of his clenched teeth.

It's like someone won't be doing a pose right, or people are talking, and his eyes get all crazy. They like pop out of his head.

Sometimes I imagine him walking up and punching someone in the face.

I hope that happens someday.

Watching him control himself is really so great. It's like his does this quick glance at them, you know, a death look. Then his jaw gets a little tight, he closes his eyes, breathes from his "kidney space" and speaks really softly (pretty much just how you would imagine a yoga teacher to talk). Then, the best part, he gives whoever he talked to this half smile like, "it's okay, I believe in karma" smile...but in all actuality it's the "I really will kill you if you come to my class ever again", smile.

I better be there the day he finally loses it.

Quote of the day: "now, for all you gumbys out there, bring your right arm down and twist your wrist, now bring your hand under your left leg. Now take your left arm and reach around your back and grab your right hand. Breathe." (I can do this btw)

FYI, I'll probably post about American idol later. Two posts in one day. I'm a machine.

Thank goodness the sun finally set

Today was so boring and pointless that it doesn't deserve to be talked about.

Pretty much, I ate. All day.

Apparently I'm Jewish

Oh happy day.

I've always told everyone how people think I'm Jewish. Tonight's events only confirmed that to the max.

While I was at work this evening a fellow co-worker was flabbergasted (I used spell check for that word) when he found out that I am actually not Jewish. I have worked with this guy for three months. He thought I was Jewish that whole time--not that there is anything wrong with that.

He found out that I wasn't Jewish and he was like, "dude, it's your hair, that's why you look Jewish."

What? my hair? Like...a Rabbi or something? See, he thought that by saying my hair was the reason, it would be better than saying it is because of my ginormous nose. Guess what? I would much rather be told I have a big nose than for people to say I look like a Rabbi. Seriously, any day of the week. Twice on Purim.

To make matters even bet-ter, I called Jon (the bf) and told him the story, and he had me tell his Jewish friend who lives down the hall. So I tell him everything, about the guy at work, almost all my facial features, and that my last name is Sandberg. He started cracking up and said, "yeah, not gonna lie, I've seen your picture. There is definitely jew there." (I have a really hard time spelling definitely. . . and exercise, does anyone else have that issue?)

I hope something this entertaining happens tomorrow.

Quote of the day: "Hi, I just came in to pick up an order, and my salad wasn't in there"
(Uggghhhh)

So uh...

First posts are always awkward. Maybe I should just end this one now.
No. . . that's too much work. Let's just pretend this isn't my first post.

Well, this has been an exciting past five minutes. I started a little blog thing. Not only did I NOT have to specify my gender if I didn't want to, but I also had the option to post my astrological sign, and my chinese animal year thing. I'm a snake. Watch out year of the rat. Watch out.

Bam, new paragraph. That was actually a big deal, because I suck at remembering to make paragraphs. So, my inspiration for beginning this blog was my Yoga instructor, Rob. . . or is it Rod? I can't remember. Anyway, I'll have too explain him later, when my thoughts are a little clearer.

Something I would like to tell everyone before I forget, is my epic experience at Walmart yesterday.

First, let's pretend that I don't shop at Walmart.

The Wallacemart next to my house is pretty classy, let me tell you. I mean, does your Walmart have an old person handing out stickers on your way out the door? I bet not. Anyway, mine does.
As my mom, Maddy, and I approached the garden center, I could have sworn I thought I heard Gabriel's horn, it was that beautiful. As we walked closer I realized that it was not Gabriel's horn, but rather, yodeling.

My sticker lady was yodeling.

This wasn't your run of the mill Swiss Alps yodeling. It was like Snow White ride at Disneyland yodeling. You know what I'm talking about. When the dwarves are dancing in the house. I actually got excited for a second because I thought that I was at Disneyland.

Lesson learned: If your Walmart doesn't make you feel like you are at Disneyland, it's time to find a new place to shop.

Quote of the day: "So, we just have to keep doing it" (Most likely you will never understand these, but I find them hilarious)
