Book of the week.

As some of you know, I have been trying so hard to read War and Peace. I tried for 6 months.

I've given up.

Anyway, in order to clear my palate of Russian novels, I turned to Peter Pan.

It was the best book of my life.

I mean, I already knew that it was one of my favorite movies, but it is now my favorite book also.

J.M. Barrie is obviously my new hero. Sad to say, he didn't really look like Johnny Depp.

So go, read the book, and be amazed.

"Mrs. Darling came to the window, for at present she was keeping a sharp eye on Wendy. She told Peter that she had adopted all the other boys, and would like to adopt him also.
"Would you send me to school?" he inquired craftily.
"Yes."
"And then to an office?"
"I suppose so."
"Soon I should be a man?"
"Very soon."
"I don't want to go to school and learn solemn things." he told her passionately. "I don't want to be a man. Oh Wendy's mother, if I was to wake up and feel there was a beard!"
"Peter," said Wendy the comforter, "I should love you in a beard;"
and Mrs. Darling stretched out her arms to him, but he repulsed her.
"Keep back, lady, no one is going to catch me and make me a man."

Hooray for Peter Pan!

What if I told you there's a new novel that's based on Barrie's idea for another Pan adventure?

And unlike all the others, it's faithful to his originals stories!
